the cabin

The cabin was built in the 1970s by local legend Ike Rouse. When his daughter, Amy, inherited part of the original property, she and her husband Mike opted to continue working the land. In 2016, the cabin was renovated and licensed as a rental house.

Mike continues to farm on the surrounding 200 acres, focusing on high quality hay for the Thoroughbred industry. He and Amy live in Midway and are the proud parents of two adult daughters, Lauren and Liz.
